OSS
BEGO OSS is a highly reliable, dimensional stable, purified natural bovine bone
grafting material. The mineral composition, the three dimensional structure and
the physico-chemical and biological properties of BEGO OSS are very similar to
those of human bone. The unique manufacturing process with high-temperature
heating removes all organic components and eliminates all potential
immunological reactions: BEGO OSS is 100% BSE-safe and 100% protein-free. BEGO
OSS fulfils all requirements of the Annex II.4 of the Directive 93/42/EEC and
the Directive 2003/32/EC.

BEGO OSS
S
BEGO OSS S is an innovative, safe, reliable and fully synthetic bone graft
substitute with improved controlled resorption properties and outstanding
handling characteristics. The homogenous composition of 60% hydroxyapatite (HA)
and 40% beta-tri-calcium phosphate (-TCP) results in two mineral phases of
activity: it supports the formation of new vital bone and maintains the volume
and mechanical stabillity. The high osteoconductivity of BEGO OSS S is achieved
by a matrix of interconnecting pores and a very high porosity of ~ 80%, as well
as pore sizes of 200 to 800m. The high macroporosity of BEGO OSS S is ideal for
intense osteogenic cells growth and optimally promotes the regeneration of
vital bone. The high microporosity of BEGO OSS S facilitates the increased
diffusion of biological fluids.

BEGO OSS S Inject is a new,
unique and highly innovative, injectable - but volume maintaining - bone paste,
with improved controlled resorption properties. BEGO OSS S Inject supports the
formation of new vital bone, maintains volume and mechanical stability and is
gradually replaced by mature new bone. The highly viscous BEGO OSS S Inject
paste allows perfect shaping, moulding, placement and complete bonding to the
surrounding bone surface of the defect.

MEMBRANE
BEGO Membrane provides a longlasting, adequate barrier function. Due to a
unique production process, the superior properties of the native pericardium
are preserved, maintaining the characteristics of this natural tissue.
